Swedish Massage

$90 per hour, $130 for 90 minutes

A deeply relaxing full body massage using long gliding strokes and kneading techniques to reduce muscular tension, relieve stress and improve circulation. The therapist will use massage oils to lubricate the skin and a firm but gentle touch.

Deep Tissue Massage

$90 per hour, $130 for 90 minutes

A therapeutic massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of muscle and fascia (connective tissue). Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension, relieve painful, sore or tight muscles and improve joint mobility. It may include breathing techniques, gentle stretching and myofascial trigger point therapy.

Sports/Injury Massage

$90 per hour, $130 for 90 minutes
A more focused therapeutic massage designed to address a specific area of the body that has been injured or strained due to trauma or overuse. This type of massage is beneficial for anyone who has an injury, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. Sports massage can help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.

Prenatal (Pregnancy) Massage

$90 per hour, $130 for 90 minutes

A relaxing and enjoying massage to help alleviate the discomforts of pregnancy and provide relief to the neck, shoulders, low back, hips and feet. It can also help alleviate swollen ankles and tired legs. A supported and comfortable side-lying position will be used with maternity pillows and bolsters.

Motor Vehicle Accident

If you are in a car accident you may be suffering from injuries such as whiplash, headaches, neck pain or low back pain. All of these issues can be greatly relieved by massage therapy. In Oregon, it is permissible to use your car insurance to pay for massages when you are in a motor vehicle accident. In order for Good Medicine Massage to bill your motor vehicle insurance you will need a prescription from a medical doctor or chiropractor. Once you have a prescription, your therapist will assess your injuries and develop a plan based on the diagnosis of the MD or DC.
